You are also given an option to move your old documents on Writely over as well.
There are some nice intergration features. Now you can write your post in the Doc Tool, spellcheck it and publish straight to your blog on blogger.
Much like Google Spreadsheets, there is quite a bit of collaboration features in the Doc Tool.

Google are taking over. It scares me. Much like Tesco. They too are taking over. Aaaaargh. I bet within the next 5 years one of them will buy the other. And then we will all be surely screwed.
Google's development reminds me much of Microsoft in the 80s. Very popular and geeks love them. We'll see how things unfold. One company with too much control tends to be a bad thing in my view as well.
