Ok, this seem just like a bad idea to me. Palm has introduced Foleo. It has a 10 inch screen, and a full size keyboard for $499.
So, the idea is you get a Treo Cellphone. And now you get this large thing which functions as a laptop that pulls data from Treo? And I want to ditch my 12 inch PowerBook for this because?

I couldn't agree more. If you look at some of the very good UI ideas that have come out of videogames such as The Sims, or how well context menu works in various RTS. Or even how different related info are grouped together in Morrow wind 4. Then compare that to say for example, the new Office 2007. You'll realize there is much borrowing to be done. :)
